  • How long has Dental Anesthesia Online been providing Anesthesia Continuing Education?

    DAO was successfully launched in 2009, and was the first organization to introduce the concept of patient safety to the dental community; also the first to acknowledge the multiple benefits of online education, now considered a learning standard. DAO was years ahead of this educational curve.

  • How much does it cost?

    Full access to all 70 courses for 1 year is given for a yearly tuition of $249. Please note that this is an introductory fee.

  • Can I view other websites and get the same experience?

    NO, our Anesthesia Assistant Training Program and SIMMAN™ Training experiences are unique to Dental Anesthesia Online Program. These programs have been in existence for 10 years! Content of both programs have been brought up to date and is current as of 2023.

  • Will I be able to change the spelling of my name after registration?

    Name changes are not permitted after registration is complete. Please visit the contact us section to email a request for spelling changes in the registered name.

  • Can I share my login credentials with others, so they will not have to pay tuition?

    Unauthorized use is strictly prohibited and will result in forfeit of your registration fees and permanent account deletion. The introductory yearly tuition fee of $249/team member is intended to eliminate all financial barriers to individualized learning.

  • Can I view the videos on personal devices?

    Yes, our programs are compatible with any device with internet access.

  • I lost my CE certification of course completion, can I get another one?

    Yes, login to your account to reprint your certificate of course completion.

  • Will my state or organization accept the continuing education credit earned on the Dental Anesthesia Online educational website?

    Each state varies in their CE requirements to maintain licensure. Although Dental Anesthesia Online offers over 70 courses which have been specifically designed to meet or exceed state or organizational CE requirements, subscribers are encouraged to check acceptability with their individual states.

  • My state licensing board mandates “hands-on” training. Is this available through Dental Anesthesia Online?

    YES, both Modules I and II have hands-on components. Teaching templates are provided, which can be customized to your practice. The sedation provider(s) are guided through the mentoring process.

  • Is Dental Anesthesia Online an ADA CERP recognized provider?

    YES, Dental Anesthesia Online has been an ADA CERP recognized provider since its launch in 2009. This recognition has been extended until Fall, 2026.

  • Will my information be shared with any third parties?

    NO, your information is strictly confidential and is maintained with the highest level of internet security currently available.

  • Is course content peer reviewed? How are presenters selected?

    All programs have been peer reviewed. The screening process for courses presenters is rigorous and completed by committee action. It includes such criteria as board certification, experience and publications, among others. Invited presentations at the national level is a pre-requisite, which complements and validates the DAO screening process.

  • Can I communicate with the course presenters?

    Yes, you can communicate with course presenters on the CONTACT US page.

  • How long will I be able to view my presentations?

    All presentations can be viewed for 1 year after successful registration.

  • Will new programs be offered?

    YES, our content will be continually updated.

  • How can I verify presentation content?

    The purpose of the DAO presentations is to provide information only, not advice or opinion. Bibliographies are provided at the end of each presentation for reference and additional study.

ADA CERP is a service of the American Dental Association to assist dental professionals in identifying quality providers of continuing dental education. ADA CERP does not approve or endorse individual courses or instructors, nor does it imply acceptance of credit hours by boards of dentistry. Concerns or complaints about a CE provider may be directed to the provider or to the Commission for Continuing Education Provider Recognition at ADA.org/CERP.
